When you arrive at the port, hand over your luggage to the appropriate staff who will take it to your cabin. Label each bag with your name and surname. You can find labels in your travel documents. Attach them to your luggage with either adhesive tape or a stapler. If additional labels are needed, you will receive them in the port from the luggage operator.

 

Luggage


In addition to the luggage that your staff will take you to your cabin and which you can get back to several hours, we recommend that you pack your small carry-on baggage. Include in this case any medication you are taking, glasses, essential toiletries, valuables, cameras and fragile items.
All your luggage will be scanned before entering the ship and, under security measures, security personnel can seize any items that could endanger other passengers, crew or ship.
The following items are prohibited on the ship: weapons and ammunition, explosives, fireworks and flares, compressed or liquid gas (flammable, non-flammable, refrigerants, irritants, toxic gases) such as gas cartridges for gas cookers, flare guns, starter guns, infectious or poisonous substances, caustic, radioactive substances, and any sharp objects that could be used as weapons.
It is also forbidden to bring food or beverages to the ship in accordance with safety and health and shipping standards. On-board staff reserves the right to remove them. This prohibition also applies to ports during the voyage. Purchased drinks or food will be stored on board and will be returned to you in the evening before leaving the ship.
The only exceptions are toiletries, liquid medicines and products or foods specially made for children, as well as preparations and foods for certified special diets.

 

Check-in


At the port terminal, you will go to one of the company's check-in counters with pre-arranged travel documents and a valid passport. A company employee will perform a quick check of the data to verify the accuracy of the data and you will be taken by the security service.
All passengers must be on board until the scheduled time before the ship leaves.

 

Cabin card


You will receive a cabin card during the check-in procedure or you can find it directly in your cabin. This plastic card serves as a key for opening the cabin and also for paying on board the ship eg. for facultative trips purchased, for spending in the bar, for payment in the dry cleaning, cabin service, hairdresser, for cosmetics, for spending in shops, for the services of the photographer, and for paying the restaurant service surcharge.

The card is activated by registering a passenger's credit card or by depositing cash / approx. € 200-300 per cabin by company /. Traveler's checks are not accepted. Only the following embossed credit cards are accepted on board: Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Diners, JCB and American Express. All ships have a non-cash system (you can present a cabin card when you eat or buy). The cash advance difference will be refunded to you on the day of disembarkation after your shipment expense. On the penultimate day of the voyage, you will be charged directly to the cabin. If you are unclear about your billing, contact the ship's reception.

 

Safety exercise


On the day of embarkation, respectively. on the first day of the voyage, each passenger on board will be invited to "Mandatory emergency drill" - a safety exercise within which are all passengers they are required to arrive at the designated place at the designated time and undergo this short rescue exercise. Some companies require a lifejacket, others do not. You will find information about this exercise in your ship's newspaper and at the same time will be announced by the shipping company.
